Technical Innovation of the Year – Projects 2015

The construction of the Matalan HQ building includes a new three-storey office block, warehousing, gatehouses and transportation offices. The HQ is built on a 15-acre site. The BEMS installed by Impact Control Systems fully controls all HVAC across several buildings on a single dedicated network. The controls strategy uses distributed zoning and demand-based control to optimise energy use. Over 100 sub-meters are monitored at the Trend head-end and Impact has ensured that users can easily see alarms from the BEMS.

Impact Control Systems Ltd installed a full building management system for Everton FC’s Training Academy and we now provide a comprehensive maintenance program to the club. Due to the nature of the client’s business, the facility has specific environmental conditions that need to be set and maintained to ensure optimum conditions throughout.

Our maintenance team are dedicated to ensuring these environments are maintained to provide the exact, highly dynamic requirements the players need; whilst recommending energy saving measures on a regular basis.

Impact Control Systems Ltd provided the initial installation of the BMS system and through continued maintenance and consultation our team have thorough knowledge of the site. Our maintenance team work closely with the FM staff on site and feel this is essential to understanding the site specific operational requirements. This service is provided at no additional cost to Everton FC and our engineers are always at the end of the phone – no matter what time of day.
